Pitching My Idea; A change in thought.....

  1. I think this idea would work very well in a short film, and would remind the audience of their own experiences. The blurriness is a good metaphor, but do you think that the constant use for it would promote the same idea throughout the piece instead of the differing ideas that you plan to use it for?

  2. Very good idea Martha! I like the use of symbolism and how you are going to depict the theme of childhood and school etc. through your shot choices, colours and sounds. I think it'll be effective and the audience will be able to relate to that. Is it going to have some sort of ending? Even if it doesn't - I think it's still interesting! :-)

  3. Lovely idea showing the changing views from a person going through different stages in school. Did you think about how now it's primary school and high school not middle school? Also using a Boy might be a nice idea and change as usually we see females. Also have you thought about an actual plot to go through the changing schools? Like something to focus on? Think it could work though, especially the thoughts with the camera angles at different levels etc.

  4. Great idea about following a person throughout their school life; have you thought about whether you will film within just one school, and how you will be able to manipulate the classrooms in order to establish what year/age group the characrter is in? i.e. mise-en-scene.

  5. Sounds like an interesting idea - i like the concept and you seem to have a firm view on the character who is very relatable. Are you thinking about having a narration to build character or are you going to be more focused on the imagery of the film and seeing the world through their eyes?

  6. Really like the idea; it definitely sounds relatable and sure to work well as a short film. The shot idea and the concepts behind the progression through school are really interesting and imaginative. Are you able to get an actor for each age?

  7. I like your initial idea, I think the idea of following a small child but only leg height is really original and would work well. The idea of following someone through their journey of life I think will work really well.
Are you going to film the bit in the school corridor with lots of other children as well?

  8. Very good strong idea with the concept of focus. This is a very good idea for a short film. However, do you know who you will use for the different ages? Because they'll need to look similar to eachother and be able to act well. But all in all very impressive, hope it all goes well :) x

  9. I really like how you've thought so much about all the senses and delved into the feelings associated with them when you're a child, I think some of your ideas are spot on. I also like how you've thought the world looks from a childs eyes and how you can merge that into your short film.

  10. The idea is really good firstly mostly because we can all relate to it as its a journey that everyone goes through. I espeically liked the idea of starting looking at the childs legs as that is how they view the world, and using the primary colours. Have you thought about what you are going to do after the high school, are you going to just focus on the three schools involved in life or are you also going to look towards later life, uni? jobs ect x
